ASH SHAFF (BARISAN) — Ayat 5

5

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Moses said to his people, "O my people, why do you harm me while you certainly know that I am the messenger of Allah to you?" And when they deviated, Allah caused their hearts to deviate. And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

Tafsir

{And} mention {when Moses said to his people, “O my people, why do you harm me?”} They said: He is swollen, meaning his testicles are swollen, but that is not the case, and they denied him. {And} to confirm {you know that I am the Messenger of God to you} The clause is a state, and the Messenger is respected. {But when they deviated} they turned away from the truth by harming him, {God made their hearts deviate} He turned them away from guidance according to what He had ordained in eternity. {And God does not guide the wicked people} the disbelievers in His knowledge.
