ASH SHAFF — Ayat 5
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ لِمَ تُؤْذُونَنِي وَقَد تَّعْلَمُونَ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ فَلَمَّا زَاغُوا أَزَاغَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Moses said to his people, "O my people, why do you harm me while you certainly know that I am the messenger of Allah to you?" And when they deviated, Allah caused their hearts to deviate. And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.
Tafsir Ibnu Katsir
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ يقَوْمِ لِمَ تُؤْذُونَنِى وَقَد تَّعْلَمُونَ أَنِّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ فَلَمَّا زَاغُواْ أَزَاغَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ وَاللَّهُ لاَ يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الْفَـسِقِينَ - وَإِذْ قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ يبَنِى إِسْرَءِيلَ إِنِّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُم مُّصَدِّقاً لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَىَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَمُبَشِّراً بِرَسُولٍ يَأْتِى مِن بَعْدِى اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُم بِالْبَيِّنَـتِ قَالُواْ هَـذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ
5. And when Musa said to his people: â€O my people! Why do you annoy me while you know certainly that I am the Messenger of Allah to you So, when they turned away (from the path of Allah), Allah turned their hearts away (from the right path). And Allah guides not the people who are rebellious. 6. And (remember) when `Isa, son of Maryam, said: â€O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah unto you, confirming the Tawrah ï´¿which cameï´¾ before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad. â€But when he came to them with clear proofs, they said: â€This is plain magic.'' Allah states that His servant and Messenger Musa, son of `Imran, to whom Allah spoke directly, said to his people,
