ASH SHAAFFAAT — Ayat 1

Tafsir Ibnu Katsir

وَالصَّـفَّـتِ صَفَّا - فَالزَجِرَتِ زَجْراً - فَالتَّـلِيَـتِ ذِكْراً - إِنَّ إِلَـهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ - رَّبُّ السَّمَـوَتِ وَالاٌّرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَـرِقِ

1. By those ranged in ranks. 2. By those who drive the clouds in a good way. 3. By those who bring the Dhikr. 4. Verily, your God is indeed One; 5. Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. It was reported that `Abdullah bin Mas`ud, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
