AL ANBIYAA' (NABI-NABI) — Ayat 18

18

Rather, We dash the truth upon falsehood, and it destroys it, and thereupon it departs. And for you is destruction from that which you describe.

Tafsir

{Rather, We hurl} We throw {the truth} faith {against falsehood} disbelief {and it obliterates} it destroys {and behold, it vanishes} it is gone. And obliterating it originally means: he struck his brain with a blow, and that is fatal. {And for you} O disbelievers of Mecca {is woe} severe punishment {for what you describe} God with regarding a wife or a child.
