AL ANBIYAA' (NABI-NABI) — Ayat 17
17
لَوْ أَرَدْنَا أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّاتَّخَذْنَاهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا إِن كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ
Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so.
Tafsir
{If We had intended to take a diversion} something to be diverted by, such as a wife or a child {We would have taken it from Ourself} from the wide-eyed houris and the angels {if We were to do} that, but We did not do it, so We did not intend it.
