AL AHQAAF (BUKIT-BUKIT PASIR) — Ayat 9
قُلْ مَا كُنتُ بِدْعًا مِّنْ الرُّسُلِ وَمَا أَدْرِي مَا يُفْعَلُ بِي وَلَا بِكُمْ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."
Tafsir
{Say, "I am not an innovation among the messengers."} That is, the first messenger. Many of them preceded me, so how can you deny me? {And I do not know what will be done with me or with you.} In this world, will I be expelled from my country or killed as was done with the prophets before me, or will you stone me or will the earth swallow you up as the deniers before you did? {I follow only what is revealed to me.} That is, the Qur'an, and I do not innovate anything on my own. {And I am only a clear warner.} A clear warning.
