AL AHQAAF (BUKIT-BUKIT PASIR) — Ayat 10
Say, "Have you considered: if the Qur'an was from Allah , and you disbelieved in it while a witness from the Children of Israel has testified to something similar and believed while you were arrogant... ?" Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
Tafsir
{Say: Have you considered?} Tell me, what is your situation? {If it} meaning the Qur’an {is from God and you disbelieve in it} a circumstantial clause {and a witness from among the Children of Israel testifies to the like of it} meaning that it is from God {and he believed} the witness {and you were arrogant} you were arrogant about believing. The answer to the condition is what is conjoined to it: Are you not wrongdoers? {Indeed, God does not guide the wrongdoing people} indicated by {that God does not guide the wrongdoing people}.
