LUQMAN — Ayat 6

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ

And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.

Tafsir Ibnu Katsir

Tafsir

{And among the people is he who buys the amusement of talk} that is, that which distracts from what he means {to mislead} with the opening of the ya’ or its damma {from the way of Allah} the path of Islam {without knowledge and takes it} in the accusative in apposition to mislead, and in the nominative in apposition to buy {in mockery} mocked by it {those will have a humiliating punishment} one of humiliation.
