ASY SYU'ARAA' (PARA PENYAIR) — Ayat 4
4
إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّن السَّمَاء آيَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَاقُهُمْ لَهَا خَاضِعِينَ
If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled.
Tafsir
{If We will, We could send down upon them from the sky a sign, and their necks would remain humbled to it} in the present tense: that is, it would remain, that is, it would last {and their necks would remain humbled to it} so they would believe. And since the necks were described as humbled to their masters, the description was made collective for rational beings.
