AR-RUUM (BANGSA RUMAWI) — Ayat 10
10
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَاقِبَةَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاؤُوا السُّوأَى أَن كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَكَانُوا بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِئُون
Then the end of those who did evil was the worst [consequence] because they denied the signs of Allah and used to ridicule them.
Tafsir
Then the worst end was for those who did evil. The feminine of worst: the ugliest is the predicate of “was” in the nominative case as a consequence, and the subject of “was” is in the accusative case as a consequence, and what is meant by it is Hell and their evil. {that} that is: because {they denied the signs of God} the Qur’an {and used to ridicule them}.
