AL QAMAR (BULAN) — Ayat 20

Tafsir

{It pulls out people} It uproots them from the holes in the ground in which they are buried and it strikes them down on their heads, breaking their necks and separating the head from the body. {As if} and their condition is what was mentioned {the trunks} of {hollow-out palm trees} cut off and fallen to the ground. They were likened to palm trees because of their height. Here it is mentioned as male and in Al-Haqqah it is feminine (empty palm trees) in consideration of the breaks in the two places.
