AL MULK (KERAJAAN) — Ayat 2
الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَاةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفُورُ
[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving -
Tafsir
{He who created death} in this world {and life} in the Hereafter, or both of them in this world. So the sperm is exposed to life, which is what gives sensation. Death is its opposite or its absence, there are two opinions. Creation according to the second meaning is to estimate {that He may test you} to examine you in life {which of you is best in deed} most obedient to God {and He is the Exalted in Might} in His vengeance against those who disobey Him {the Forgiving} for those who repent to Him.
