AL JIN (JIN) — Ayat 16
16
وَأَلَّوِ اسْتَقَامُوا عَلَى الطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسْقَيْنَاهُم مَّاء غَدَقًا
And [ Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision
Tafsir
God Almighty said about the infidels of Mecca: “And” is a lightened form of the heavy form, and its subject is omitted, meaning that they, and it is connected to the fact that he listened, “If they had remained steadfast in the way” meaning the way of Islam, “We would have given them abundant water” from the sky, and that was after the rain had been withheld from them for seven years.
