Surah ke-17 · 111 ayat
AL ISRAA' (MEMPERJALANKAN DI MALAM HARI) — Ayat 8
8
عَسَى رَبُّكُمْ أَن يَرْحَمَكُمْ وَإِنْ عُدتُّمْ عُدْنَا وَجَعَلْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ حَصِيرًا
[Then Allah said], "It is expected, [if you repent], that your Lord will have mercy upon you. But if you return [to sin], We will return [to punishment]. And We have made Hell, for the disbelievers, a prison-bed."
Tafsir
And We said in the Book, “Perhaps your Lord will have mercy upon you” after the second time, if you repent. “But if you return” to corruption, “We will return” to punishment. And they returned by denying Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, so He gave them power to kill the Qurayza, banish the Nadir, and impose the jizyah on them. “And We have made Hell, for the disbelievers, a prison.”
