AL HUJURAAT (KAMAR-KAMAR) — Ayat 14
The bedouins say, "We have believed." Say, "You have not [yet] believed; but say [instead], 'We have submitted,' for faith has not yet entered your hearts. And if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not deprive you from your deeds of anything. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."
Tafsir
{The Bedouins said} a group from the tribe of Asad {We have believed} We have believed in our hearts {Say} to them {You have not believed, but say, “We have submitted”} We have submitted outwardly {For faith has not yet entered your hearts} that is, it has not yet entered your hearts, but it is expected of you {And if you obey God and His Messenger} with faith and other things {He will not deprive you} with or without the hamza and with the replacement of it with an alif: He will not deprive you {of your deeds} that is, of their reward {anything. Indeed, God is Forgiving} to the believers {and Merciful} to them.
