AL HASYR (PENGUSIRAN) — Ayat 9
وَالَّذِينَ تَبَوَّؤُوا الدَّارَ وَالْإِيمَانَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ يُحِبُّونَ مَنْ هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ فِي صُدُورِهِمْ حَاجَةً مِّمَّا أُوتُوا وَيُؤْثِرُونَ عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَوْ كَانَ بِهِمْ خَصَاصَةٌ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
And [also for] those who were settled in al-Madinah and [adopted] the faith before them. They love those who emigrated to them and find not any want in their breasts of what the emigrants were given but give [them] preference over themselves, even though they are in privation. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul - it is those who will be the successful.
Tafsir
{And those who settled in the city} meaning the city {and the faith} meaning they were familiar with it, and they are the Ansar {before them love those who emigrated to them and do not find in their hearts any need} envy {of what they have been given} meaning what the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, gave the emigrants from the wealth of Banu Nadir that was specific to them {and they give preference to others over themselves, even though they are in need} need of what they give preference to others with {And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul} its greed for wealth {it is those who will be the successful}.
