AL HAJJ (HAJI) — Ayat 9
ثَانِيَ عِطْفِهِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ وَنُذِيقُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ
Twisting his neck [in arrogance] to mislead [people] from the way of Allah . For him in the world is disgrace, and We will make him taste on the Day of Resurrection the punishment of the Burning Fire [while it is said],
Tafsir
{The second of his turning} is a state, meaning he turned his neck in arrogance from faith. Turning is to the right or the left. {To lead him astray} with the opening of the ya’ or its closing {from the path of Allah} meaning His religion. {For him in this world is disgrace} torment, so he was killed on the day of Badr. {And We will make him taste on the Day of Resurrection the punishment of the Burning} meaning burning with fire. And it is said to him.
