AL MU'MINUUN — Ayat 99
99
حَتَّى إِذَا جَاء أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ
[For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back
Tafsir Ibnu Katsir
حَتَّى إِذَا جَآءَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ - لَعَلِّى أَعْمَلُ صَـلِحاً فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ كَلاَّ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَآئِلُهَا وَمِن وَرَآئِهِمْ بَرْزَخٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
99. Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: â€My Lord! Send me back,'' 100. â€So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!'' No! (Kalla) It is but a word that he speaks; and in front of them is Barzakh until the Day when they will be resurrected.
