54 : 1
Tafseer
The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].
54 : 2
Tafseer
And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic."
54 : 3
Tafseer
And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement.
54 : 4
Tafseer
And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence -
54 : 5
Tafseer
Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them].
54 : 6
Tafseer
So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding,
54 : 7
Tafseer
Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading,
54 : 8
Tafseer
Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day."
54 : 9
Tafseer
The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled.
54 : 10
Tafseer
So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help."
54 : 11
Tafseer
Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down
54 : 12
Tafseer
And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined.
54 : 13
Tafseer
And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails,
54 : 14
Tafseer
Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied.
54 : 15
Tafseer
And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember?
54 : 16
Tafseer
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.
54 : 17
Tafseer
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
54 : 18
Tafseer
'Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning.
54 : 19
Tafseer
Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune,
54 : 20
Tafseer
Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted.

Has come near
the Hour
and has split
the moon
And if
they see
a Sign
they turn away
and say
Magic
continuing
And they denied
and followed
their desires
but (for) every
matter
(will be a) settlement
And certainly
has come to them
of
the information
wherein
wherein
(is) deterrence
Wisdom
perfect
but not
will avail
the warnings
So turn away
from them
(The) Day
will call
the caller
to
a thing
terrible
(Will be) humbled
their eyes
they will come forth
from
the graves
as if they (were)
locusts
spreading
Racing ahead
toward
the caller
Will say
the disbelievers
This
(is) a Day
difficult
Denied
before them
(the) people
(of) Nuh
and they denied
Our slave
and said
A madman
and he was repelled
So he called
his Lord
I am
one overpowered
so help
So We opened
(the) gates
(of) heaven
with water
pouring down
And We caused to burst
the earth
(with) springs
so met
the water(s)
for
a matter
already
predestined
And We carried him
on
(ark) made of planks
(ark) made of planks
and nails
Sailing
before Our eyes
a reward
for (he) who
was
denied
And certainly
We left it
(as) a Sign
so is (there)
any
who will receive admonition
So how
was
My punishment
and My warnings
And certainly
We have made easy
the Quran
for remembrance
so is (there)
any
who will receive admonition
Denied
Aad;
so how
was
My punishment
and My warnings
Indeed We
[We] sent
upon them
a wind
furious
on
a day
(of) misfortune
continuous
Plucking out
men
as if they (were)
trunks
(of) date-palms
uprooted
